WEB DEVELOPMENT
We Build Websites and Web Apps
That Fit How Your Business Works.
Most of our work is company websites, ecommerce stores, and web applications like dashboards and customer portals. A fair amount of it is also picking up sites somebody else built and making them workable again.
We work mainly in Laravel, Node.js, React, Next.js and WordPress. Which one we suggest depends on what you are building and who has to look after it afterwards. Either way, you deal with the developers doing the work. There is no account manager sitting in the middle relaying messages.

Sometimes a Rebuild Is the Answer. Sometimes It Isn’t.
Slow pages, an editor nobody enjoys using, a plugin list that keeps growing, systems that refuse to talk to each other. Most of the time these trace back to decisions made two or three years ago. The platform itself is rarely the culprit.
So before quoting a rebuild we read the code, check the hosting, and ask how your team actually uses the site week to week. Occasionally a handful of focused fixes gets you most of the way there. Other times the current build has genuinely run out of road. You should know which one you are paying for.
- The site has become hard for your own team to update
- Pages that feel slow on a normal phone and a normal connection
- A plugin list that keeps growing and nobody remembers why
- A web app that has outgrown the way it was first built
- A store that struggles once the catalog or the traffic grows
- Orders, stock or leads still being moved between systems by hand
- Code left behind by a developer who is no longer around to ask
- No documentation, and nobody sure how parts of it work
How we usually work
-
You work with the developers
Five of us started this studio and all five are still working in it. Design, engineering and SEO sit in the same room, so most questions get an answer the same day they are asked.
-
The platform comes after the questions
WordPress when your team needs to publish without help. Laravel or Node.js when there is enough business logic that it should not live inside a theme. React or Next.js when the interface has a lot going on. We explain the reasoning before anyone writes code.
-
The code stays yours
You get the repository, the deployment setup and the credentials that go with it. If you move the project to another team in two years, nothing has to be reverse-engineered first.
-
You see progress every week
A short call or a recorded walkthrough, whichever suits you better, plus a staging link you can open whenever you like. We can sign an NDA before you send anything sensitive.
Want a second opinion on your current site?
Send us the URL and tell us what is bothering you about it. We will have a look and reply with what we would suggest doing.
What we build
Briefs usually arrive as one of the following, though most projects end up touching two or three of them once we get into the detail.
-
Websites
Custom website development
Company sites, service and location pages, and content-heavy sites with a lot of pages to keep track of. We spend as much time on the editing side as the front end, because somebody on your team has to keep the site current long after we have finished.
-
Web apps
Web application development
Dashboards, customer portals, internal tools, booking and approval flows. This often starts as a process your team currently runs across spreadsheets and email, and the job is to move it somewhere everyone can see the same version.
-
Frontend
Frontend development
Turning designs into pages that behave on a mid-range Android phone as well as a laptop. Reusable components, forms that validate properly, loading and error states, and markup clean enough that search engines are not guessing. React and Next.js when the interface needs them.
-
Backend
Backend and API development
Business logic, database design, user roles and permissions, background jobs, admin screens, and APIs for your own app or a third party to call. Laravel and Node.js are what we reach for most, and we keep things structured so the next developer can follow it.
-
CMS
WordPress development
WordPress earns its place when the site is mostly content and your marketing team wants to publish without booking developer time. It is a poor fit for heavy custom logic or thousands of user accounts. We will tell you when that is the case.
-
Integrations
Ecommerce and API integration
Stores on Magento, Shopify or WooCommerce, plus the connections behind them. CRMs, ERP systems, payment gateways, shipping and courier APIs, accounting tools. Most of this work exists so nobody has to export a spreadsheet every Monday morning.
-
Launch & care
Performance, SEO foundations and support
Core Web Vitals work, image and query optimization, caching, and hosting sized for the traffic you actually get. On the SEO side that means clean URLs, a sensible heading structure, metadata and pages that can be crawled. After launch we stay on for updates and small changes if you want us to.
Tools we work with
This is not a list of everything we have ever touched. It is what we use regularly enough to support properly. If you already know WordPress is the direction, our WordPress development page covers CMS and WooCommerce work in more detail.
- Laravel
- React
- Next.js
- WordPress
- Node.js
- Magento
- Shopify
- UI/UX
- Custom APIs
- Commerce
- Performance
- Security
How a project usually goes
Roughly the same shape whether it is a marketing site or a logged-in application. Scope gets revised along the way on most projects, and we would rather raise that early than at the end.
-
01
Discover
We go through what already exists, what is staying, and what is causing you trouble. If there is an older system involved, this is where we read the code and ask the awkward questions.
-
02
Plan
Pages or screens, integrations, the platform, and a written note of what sits outside this phase. Anything we are genuinely unsure about gets written down as an open question so it does not get quietly assumed.
-
03
Design
Wireframes, then designs, on the projects that need them. Not all of them do. An internal tool with an existing design system can often go straight to build.
-
04
Build
Development in short cycles with a staging link you can open any time. Questions come up mid-build on every project, and we would rather ask than assume.
-
05
Test
Real devices, not just a resized browser window. Forms, payments, permissions and the odd cases, plus the SEO basics that live in the templates.
-
06
Launch
DNS, redirects, caching, a final backup and a way back if something misbehaves. We schedule it for a time when someone on your side is around.
-
07
Improve
Small fixes almost always surface in the first couple of weeks. After that it is either the next phase of work or a proper handover if you are taking it in-house.
- Direct contact You speak to the people writing the code.
- Weekly demos Plus a staging link you can check any time.
- Honest timelines Scoped in writing, so the dates mean something.
- Support after launch Fixes, updates and the next phase if you need it.
Questions clients ask us
Existing site Can you work on a website another developer built?
Yes, and it is a good share of what we do. We start by reading the code and checking the hosting so we know what we are dealing with. If it is in reasonable shape we work with it. If it is held together in a way that makes every small change risky, we will tell you that as well.
Rebuilds Do we need to rebuild our existing website?
Not always. Plenty of sites that feel broken really need performance work, a tidier editing setup, or a few templates rewritten. A rebuild makes sense when the current code turns ordinary changes into expensive ones, or when the site has to do something it was never built for.
Technology Which technology should we use?
It depends on what the site or app has to do and who maintains it afterwards. WordPress for content-led sites your own team updates. Laravel or Node.js when there is real business logic behind it. React or Next.js when the interface is doing a lot. We put the recommendation in writing before development starts so you can see the reasoning.
Integrations Can you integrate our website with our ERP or CRM?
Usually, though it depends on what the other system exposes. With a documented API this is routine work. With an older on-premise system we need to look at what is actually available first, and the answer sometimes involves a scheduled sync or a small middle layer in between.
Ownership Do we get the source code?
Yes. The repository is yours, along with the deployment setup and credentials. Nothing is tied to us.
Timeline How long does development normally take?
A focused marketing site is often a few weeks. A custom web application, a large catalog migration, or anything with several integrations takes longer, and the integrations are usually what moves the date. We give you a timeline once we have read the brief and know what is involved.
Support Can you maintain the website after launch?
Yes, either monthly or as and when you need it. Updates, security, backups, small content and code changes, and larger pieces of work when they come up. If you would rather handle it internally, we hand over the code and walk your team through how it fits together.
